#Cajuns D-line may need to hit weightroom. RT @PaulMyerberg: Tulane OL Jason Stewart (395 lbs) is the heaviest player in CFB in 2013.

PTU President Cowen admits PTU puts athletes in the night school, aka University College.

"Advocate: It’s often been said that, to compete in football, Tulane needs to make some academic accommodations for athletes, both in admissions and in available majors. Has that been done?

Cowen: People have already misunderstood the standards. We’ve always had the flexibility to admit the student-athletes that we felt could be successful.

We have some majors options for them we didn’t have before, especially in the School of Continuing Studies. But most are still taking the standard majors."

You've arrived in your own hometown? That's really pretty funny. It looks like the kids were smirking a bit as they walked in. At least Tulane sprang for the Hilton! I hope next year we move on to bigger and better things. I also hope ULM makes the NOLA Bowl. I hear City Park is nice this time of year.

No way I want the waaaaaaahoax in NOLA or any other bowl for that matter. It would just mean that we would have to subsidize their bowl expenses with our bowl revenue. They couldn't even afford to house and feed their team on their own campus last year. And you know they would try to live first class on our dime. If they had to pay their own way they couldn't even afford the Comfort Inn on Chef Highway and a steady diet of Lucky Dogs.
