I'm in 307 (corner end zone). Last year I was in 311 (40 yard line).

I'M NOT COMPLAINING, but I'm kind of bummed out. I doubled my RCAF donation this year and was thinking I would have better (or at least the same) seats as last year. This happen to anyone else?

This is why we need a points system! If I would be able to see my RCAF ranking was lower than it was last year, I would have donated more to get the same or better tickets. I personally feel by not having a point system, the RCAF is leaving money on the table. People are less likely to give blindly because they have no clue where they stand in the grand scheme of things. When you donate and see your name move up the rankings, it gives your donation more meaning. I also feel a point system gives more transparency and the appearance that everything is being handled fairly, as opposed to the "good old boy" system where who knows what is really going on.

Ken Winstead told me personally a long time ago we were going to a points system, anyone know what's the hold up on getting it implemented?

The location of the tickets the Nola bowl gave us last year were different than the first. This could be the case again this year. As amount of donors increase and rcaf gets older, you will naturally gain larger numbers of large donors which will push some outward. However, I do agree of a point system needs to be implemented.

I'm feeling the exact same thing. We doubled our donation and had almost every household in our group join RCAF so that we had a big enough total allotment to not have to forego priority seating (like we did last year to sit together) and we ended up in basically the same spot as last year, only a level higher. They've got me considering everything from splitting from the group for bowl tickets so we can sit in the seats we paid for to dropping our donation to $500 because, hey, that's what they gave us anyway and we can use the savings to pay for football and basketball season tickets.

They still look like good seats, but 307 isn't exactly first level on the 40.

That's another problem too.. Everyone is trying to sit together which also pushes everyone out. There are only so many seats. Last year we had 18 in better seats than we do this year. This year have higher rcaf levels but also grouped 42 together. The more people that join and the more people try to sit big groups it makes it hard for them to accommodate everyone. I think I'll be splitting from the group next year.

I understand about the big groups, but I only requested 2 tickets... which was less than the max amount I could have requested at my RCAF level. I would have been willing to donate more if I knew what I would be getting for the extra donation. As long as we don't have a point system, donors are just throwing money at the RCAF and crossing their fingers.

    Sec 117 seats 1-8
We went RCAF this year with less people (120 last year, 32 this year) and received only 1 section better than last year. My group will have to up their donations next year or I am going on my own.
Anyway we are in a domed stadium and outside freezing our buts off.
