Thread: Ragin' Cajuns’ early efforts encourage Marlin

  1. UL Basketball Ragin' Cajuns’ early efforts encourage Marlin

Bob Marlin has few complaints about the performance from his UL men's basketball team, especially since the Cajuns have played six of the past seven games on the road.

The Cajuns are 6-3, and even after Saturday's road loss to No. 7 Louisville, Marlin said he's content with his team's effort.

"I'm very pleased, no doubt, to be where we are right now, considering the kind of schedule we have played," Marlin said during Monday's weekly news luncheon.

I have to believe some of what looked like pure quickness for Louisville was because UL's players were exhausted from the extended road trips.

To me it became evident in the second half.

I hope we can fill the dome for these guys, this is a very good basketball team. They will go far in conference!

This is a very good team, I am hoping we can get a large group up to Monroe to support the men's and women's team January 4th. Women's game starts at 2 and men's at 5, so you drive up and back in the same day. But before we get to that we need a large crowd this Saturday in the dome, Geaux Cajuns!
