So the question is now if and how long can/will B-Way play---With this in mind --which of our QBs next in line are the most comparable to B-WAY????? Yes the answer is Nixon--get him ready!!!

I'm telling you now. Broadway is about 75% right now. Surgery was to speed up the healing process and to get him available for the bowl game. He got a good report from doc's about his recovery. He's going to go through all of the practices w/out throwing for the next couple of days. He'll run with the 2nd team in case there are any setbacks, in order to get another QB "ready" as a just-in-case scenario plays out.

He'll have his conditioning and legs underneath him, while doing some light ball handling drills to keep fresh. He'll begin to throw next week and have about 3 or so days to really prep and get his game ready.

It'll be a game time decision (to keep Tulane off-balanced). Broadway will be under center, we'll use a 70/30% run/pass mix, with Broadway snapping off 20-30 yard runs with the read option plays. His arm will be good enough to fling quick screens, slants, etc....but he's the running threat needed to keep the Tulane defense honest.

This post makes me happy. Only good thoughts! Dwelling on the negative what-ifs does NO GOOD! Prepare like you can win, believe you can win, and you will win more often than you will lose. Tulane's defense is good. We have lost 2 in a row. But Tulane's offense is bad, and they have lost 2 of 3. We have won 8 games this year, and beaten several bowl eligible teams. The last two weeks are not who we are. We will win this game!

TB starts, even for a few plays, even if he can't throw well. If he can throw, great, keep him in.

Next, put in Haack and let him run the offense, but he must be able to get some passes completed early to keep Tu-lame Defense from stacking the line, shutting down the run, and sacking him left and right. He has got to throw more accurate than last game.

If the offense isn't moving after a quarter or so, put in Nixon. He looked composed, has some running ability, and could scramble out the pocket during those high stress times.

There is no doubt, if any of the redshirt freshman QB's play, the number one requirement is to limit turnovers. I can stomach a few crazy passes, but we can't give them the ball and expect to win.

I don't care who starts as long as the play calling isn't the tell-tale sign of a rookie QB where every pass is an out route or quick out route. IE USA game. Everyone and their mama could defend that if it makes up 90% of the passing plays.

    Go Cajuns!

I think we start with Nixon, followed by Ford & Carter. If no results there, we go to Reagan. And if the game really goes in the tank, we put in our worst plug, which would be Obama.
