TULSA, Okla.-Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns women’s tennis team was able to sweep Oral Roberts University 7-0 on Saturday afternoon. The win improves the Cajuns to 7-2 on the season.

In singles action, freshman Julie Mazinova easily defeated Emily Arkell 6-3, 6-1 at No.1, while freshman teammate Kim van der Horst topped Hayden Rush 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2. Sophomore Myrthe Molenveld bested Taylor Pippen 6-1, 7-5 at No. 3.

Junior Angela Dangond defeated Rafaela Souza 1-6, 6-3, 10-7 at No. 4. Marina Ruiz de Gauna helped the Cajuns’ cause with her 6-0, 6-4 victory over Costa at No.5, while freshman teammate Mia Gordon rounded out the sweep with her 6-3, 6-3 win over Corrine Langstan at No.6.

In doubles play, Molenveld and Mazinova bested Arkell and Souza 8-5 at No.1. Van der Horst and Dangond topped Rush and Pippen 8-2 at No. 2, and Bridget Marcovich and Gordon defeated Costa and Johnson 8-1 at No. 3.

The Cajuns return to action on Monday, Feb. 25 when they take on Alcorn State. The match is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
