I agree the are better but by often only rushing 3 the net gain is not there.

An improved rush that limits the time the QB has to hunt for an eventual open receiver would do wonders for the DB unit.

Eventually every receiver gets open at some point, limit the QB 'look time' and you will be see more defensive backs in position to make plays.

You are right, speaking of firing anybody when we still have all of our goals in front of us and to be honest, I'd think that this season has been a slight pleasant surprise based on what many might have predicted in wins and losses at the beginning of the season, is ludicrous at this point. However, you can point out that we have obvious issues on defense and it doesn't make you a monday morning QB or a bad fan because we do. I've been saying it for 4 weeks and I believe its true. Plus, I'll say it again, if we play defense this coming week like we've been playing ever since the ASU game, there is a good chance we lose and tie for the conference championship.

Our defense is the way it is because of the personnel. We play soft "swiss-type" coverage because our DB's are suspect. We have a great line, but can't get a ton of pressure most times because we are only rushing 3. It's a spread league, yards will come in chunks. My only wish would be to have some sort of adjustment at halftimes. Throw a wrinkle at the opposing team. Switch up your scheme a bit, hitting them with more blitzes on 1st down to make them have to earn that next set of downs. If you give them 7 on 1st, it's pretty damn easy to get 3 yards over the next two plays.

No one should be fired. Quit keyboard coaching, drink your coffee and relax. RaginPagin can be a REAL PLEASURE some days.

I do not think anyone should come close to being fired. I don't even like the subject at 8-3.

Then again I thought the same thing last year.

When it comes to titles the only difference between this year and last, is what other teams did or didn't do.

Same exact results resulted in Stewart getting fired.

One guy mentions "firing" and gets a thread for it. Turbine, ditch this thread please.

There are legitimate reasons to be concerned about our "all in" on 8 men lost in space. There is no legitimacy to discussing anyone getting fired over it.

    Again, please remove this thread.
