Technically, yes. But the person I spoke with has always been credible and his two independent sources have good (I won't say impeccable) credentials. Like any incident, unless you witness it firsthand, you have to consider the source. In his case, I'm satisfied with the veracity of the info. That's a judgement each of us needs to make.

Just a question, what side are your sources claiming to get their info from?

Without violating any confidences, they are outsiders. Their sources are outside the administration. Again, take it with a grain of salt but I am personally familiar with one of them and he has a track record of honesty and accuracy. The other, I don't know but is an established news reporter outside of the Lafayette area.

C'mon man. I always believe what I read in the paper, hear on the radio or read on the internet. Bonjour!
    Reporters always get it right.

As I said, make your own judgement. Taken in a vacuum I probably wouldn't put much stock in the info either. However, I find it credible due to the past record of the blogger. The independent info from the reporter just confirms his account.

I meant are their "sources" from Martin hall? Are their "sources" from people who may be butt hurt about us not playing the waiting game to benefit others?

And both state the call was not an offer but a feeler to gauge our interest. I just think we should have taken the call and listened to their spiel. However, after giving them that courtesy, short of a definitive offer I think at that point you make your decision based on how insistent the NO Bowl was being. I definitely would not have risked losing the sure thing for a maybe.
I've now figured out who these people are by inference. That "source" seems to always know what he's talking about... but he has some skin in the game. I know he's got a great past track record, but humans are humans. I still don't like it being brought up on here, like it was a huge blunder. If that conversation left the I Bowl mad, I'd be massively surprised.

I got offered sex by a pretty girl one night out. I turned her down very quickly, and politely, to let her know I'd already struck a deal with a different girl. That first girl had no idea why I didn't even need to think twice about it. Many weeks later, I saw the girl I'd refused again. She was a little coy at first. I joked with her and made small talk. She asked me, "Why did you turn me down without allowing me to flirt a little while? I was going to make that night very special for you.". I told her that it would have been impossible for her to improve upon the deal I got that night. She wrestled with it, and then said, "Can I try tonight?". I said, "Yes you may.". She said, "Why are you taking up my offer so early in the evening?". I told her, "Because I just realized the mistake I made the last time." The butter melted. Just like I like it.

Let's stop haggling about the sex we didn't get, when we're about to get good sex in New Orleans.

Yea, I started to reply "I feel ya, bro" but then realized that was not a good follow up to that explanation. J1M might take that the wrong way and bust out his Gucci thong.

Yeah when J1M puts vagina in the story I can understand, it's when he jumps to the other side of the fence that I can't follow. To each his own. I've never been there and don't plan on ever so I'll prolly never understand those stories.
