My point is...you do not know anything factual. You just say things in an authoritative manner and pass it off as the most likely scenario.
One thing I know for sure is that T-Joe and Farmer know more about this situation than anyone here. I also know they are not on a quest to sabotage the University. They have all the info, where we only have a fraction of it. They are human, so they will continue to make mistakes, but I have not seen outright incompetence in them like we saw with our previous administration.
Hawk, its been fun but I gotta put up Christmas decorations. I'll try to read you rebuttals tonight.
It's there for you to read plain as day. Supporters were told they were talking to a number of bowls. Fact. An agreement was in place for the New Orleans Bowl when this was told to supporters. Fact. I don't know how much more you need...or what it will ever take for you to see the light. Don't electrocute yourself...or if it helps you understand facts...you might wanna try it.

HA. Imagine if we went to the I-bowl and ASU went to NOLA. Weather and matchup suck for us and we lose. Everyone on here would go berserk wanting to kill Farmer and T-Joe.

    WOW.

    That was stupid.

I thought this man knew how to play politics.

    I was wrong.

In the future when the Indy is looking at selling either 20,000 tickets to us or 5,000 to whoever, our phone will ring.

So why is asu or benson mad because asu isn't seen as "good enough" for the Indy bowl? Why is that any of our concern? Why should we oblige them? What have they done for us? If the deal fell through, would asu agree to back out of the Nola bowl and give us their spot?

Unless the New Orleans Bowl made it abundantly clear ($) that they were the only option to Savoie.

Yes, we were all told that we were talking to numerous bowls. Haven't we talked to numerous bowls....? We all received the pamphlet with our potential bowl destinations. We talked, nothing came out concrete, we took the OFFER. Who else offered? SunBelt will have 6 teams bowl eligible, maybe even 7. The numbers game is not something that you want to play even if you're champs/co-champs. You start snubbing bowls publically you become LaTech. Certainty is the best option. I can assure that we were cordial and polite, listened to I-Bowls interests, nothing seemed certain and we respectfully decline thanking them but stating that we're accepting a for sure Bowl. What am I missing? Did someone bug Farmer's office when he burped his Judice Inn burger on the phone and hung up after laughing at the I-Bowl?

One more time. You do not know the timing of any of these facts. You are putting them in the order you see fit to advance your story. I have instances at work all the time where I tell a vendor or potential hire we need this at this time. I have supervisor approval. When it comes to signing the contract, by supervisor says no. Did I lie? No I didn't. Although the person I deal with probably thinks I did. Not saying your version of the story is wrong, just saying you do not know this for a fact.
First time someone here has encouraged me to get electrocuted. You seem like a great guy.

like scott said, i'm not a fan of farmer's at all, and frankly TJoe leaves much to be desired, but this one isn't on them.
Who knows what the Indy Bowl will do in the near future or if it will be around without ADVOCARE as a sponsor. But knowing the way they have opperated in the past, I would say no they will not be enthusiastic about calling UL in the future. As I said, there is no conspiracy here other then Dr. Savoie had made his mind up before the Indy Bowl called. UL will do just fine in the NO Bowl and 99% of our fans are okay with that destination. But the question remains, why not ask the Indy what they were willing to offer or put on the table? Most businesses don't operate in that manner and while most fans could care less, it is a fair question to ask. If it is all about the money, then how is any comparison done when the figures were never put on the table?

and with co-champs having to be placed. say nola offers us and we say "wait we are going to see what else may be out there" wouldnt that be them fulfilling their obligation to invite a co champ. i think the rule is that they have to extend an invitation, not make sure we are placed in a bowl.

You are missing the point...it was all for show. The multiple choices on the order form...the speech Farmer gave at the QB Club. The decision was made already. So the question I keep asking is...why the need for a show? Just come out and tell us it's New Orleans. The fact that they went through the trouble of showing their were choices outside of New Orleans means they are hiding how they came to agree upon New Orleans.
