Amen, thanks Scott.
Amen, thanks Scott.
How could you agree 100%. Hawk just made up a bunch of stuff and put it in a post.
The following statement is just as factual as CajunHawks post:
I am hearing Hud went to Farmer last week and requested his team play in the I-bowl. Farmer said he would look into it, but the NOLA Bowl was the easiest path forward. If we went to the I-bowl we would lose a little bit of money and all of the athletic support staff would have to work over the Christmas break. Hud said give them a Christmas bonus, but Farmer did not want to set a precedent. Hud is ____ed!
Sounds good huh? I made it up just like CajunHawk did.
Again, the distinction between public, elected officials AND university officials.
Nowhere in the article was it suggested university officials were being bribed to insure that a team would go to the Fiesta Bowl.
It (the article) was about the Fiesta Bowl soliciting public officials for cozy deals.
Now I think the Indy Bowl does get subsidies from the state. Never heard if the NOLA Bowl does.
So it would stand to reason, if anybody is paying out bribes, it would be the Indy Bowl. They have a vested interest in being taken care of.
I am not saying it is true or not I have no inside information. My only point is that this is Hudsbeth team he should be the one deciding what bowl we go to Period.
I was only giving my opinion. Cajun Hawks post regarding Coach Hudsbeth I would agree 100%. If all of that was taking place he will do what is best for his career
UL had an agreement in place with the NO Bowl when the Independence Bowl called. There was no discussion between UL and the Independence Bowl other then a call to measure interest and they were told there was none. Scott Farmer did what he was told by Dr. Savoie and he makes the final decision. For the record, Hud wanted to play the best team available.
