There's no doubt that we will have some early contributors from this class. The question is, are these contributions going to be able to match up to even the other sunbelt schools and their higher regarded classes?

don't put too much stock in rivals, scout or things like all-state and all-american teams. i remember the day when the la. sports writers didn't think marshall faulk was good enough to make the all-state team. yeah, right. fact is, no one can see and properly evalute players and anyone who says they can probably has some property south of holly beach to sell you, too. it all pans out on the playing field.
He was a greyshirt last year which means he had no access to the playbook and has never run a play with the team. So as of right now he is far from being the most ready to play. Remember he still gets his 5 years, the greyshirt does not take that away. Hopefully he'll learn quickly and contribute to the team next season.
You guys have all 2 star recruits and you are loaded with them. There is alot of talent in that class. I am sure that McNeese is winning with alot less talent than that. Personally I am just not so convinced that Bustle knows what to do with the talent he has. You guys should give him no more than one year. You have talent.
Clearly some people can pick out great athletes and players or else we would have some turnover in the top, middle, and bottom programs. Somebody is getting it right. Marshall Faulk was offered a scholarship at Ellis U, but not as a running back, so off to San Diego he went to become a great, great college back, and a hall of fame NFL star. But to say he was not picked all state, I would like to see that in writing that year.
you can look it up - i was on the all-state committee that got it wrong so i know. i'm certainly not proud of it, but again, it's impossible to know every athlete out there. of course, we didn't have the internet and a million talent experts out there to help us out back then. today, everyone who sets up a web site is an expert. not! i prefer to let evaluations to the people who are qualified and not a bunch of guys, who probably never played the sport, but call themselves experts. granted, today quality services get info from coaches and the top rankings are probably legit. but after you get past the top level, you're just guessing how good a kid really is.
I thought Marshall Faulk was interested in UL but we offered him a scholarship w/ the interest of him playing defense? Thus he went to greatness at SDSU.
