This could be an interesting game beyond the field of competition.
Sometimes the visiting president is a guess of the home president, and if the fans are stirring the pot, it could make for interesting conversation between the university leaders.

PA: "That's another, first down!"
Crowd: "LOUISIANA!"
The big picture is this:
If we wanna be respected and called Louisiana, grow a sack and say we ain't changing ______, regardless of who is in town playing at Cajun Field! If we do it one way for the other 4 home games, man up and stand your ground.
I normally could careless about who calls us what, but if our own administration can't stand their own ground, we're done name wise.
I completely agree. But I think anyone who pays any kind of attention to what's been going on can see that Reinhardt Dr. has do e about all they can do to plaster everything with Louisiana. It's on the stadium, it's on the scoreboard, it's on the jerseys, it comes out through the pa system, it's in the press releases, etc.
No, what is unbelievably petty is UL-Monroe and their president deciding what we should be called especially considering all of the problems they have. What's unbelievably timorous is our President kowtowing to those clowns and directing his staff to refrain from using "Louisiana" in our home stadium especially after publicly stating that is our preferred brand. Finally what is worse, but not surprising, is your contemptibly pusillanimous reaction and recommendation.
And that's all were are asking, that they do everything they can which includes using "Louisiana" on the scoreboard and over the PA at our stadium for this and every other game. If they don't and cave into Bruno then they are not doing, as you suggest, all that they can.
SUCK IT, HOAX !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IMO, T Joe and the university feel they have been handed a significant public relations defeat in the name issue. They have retreated, and are not interested in fighting for the name at this time.
The university IMO has done what nobody else could do, get Cajun fans to start to abandon the fight. Much like the South not invading Washington DC early in the war when they had a great opportunity to end the war with a victory. UL @ Lafayette has folded.
From this day forward I will no longer correct the general public when they give us the old UL L, or Lafayette.
You know if the Louisiana attorney general found us to be in conflict with Louisiana law our retreat might be strategy to avoid a court date, instead we simply folded.
