4-2 best start under marlin so far
next 4 games should provide a few tests
Cajuns are 4-2 on the season and come home to play Northwestern on Wednesday, if you are around you should come out and watch them play.
Only down side would again be FT's and EP with 8 turnovers. He needs to do a better job with the turnovers.
We better start checking people off the on the defensive end Damn how many offensive rebounds did they get????And guess who looks like Cajun Mike's real deal??? WE don't understand how to run the match up zone yet!!!! I watched it in Biddy, AAU, HS, and College---Why in the hell do teams teach their players to give up the baseline drive????? Over and over again---guess I will never understand it cause I never see it work!!!! AAAHHH!!!
First true non conference road win for Marlin.
Good road win over a pretty good team, I know the record does not show it with 2 - 4 overall, but they played well vs Ole Miss and Minnesota early in the season.
We need to take this win and get ready for NwSt.
Geaux Cajuns.
Yes the ending was ugly due to the turnovers caused by Coastal Carolina's aggressiveness. There was contact on several plays in which a foul was not called. There was even a play where Wronk called time after he corralled a rebound which was not given. Of course a turnover occurred. Free throws missed hurt as well. Of course two missed were front ends of one and ones which are always an adventure. Pressure goes up substantially in those situations.
Still, don't you guys know by now how difficult it is to close out a road game. I was not surprised in the least it went to the wire and in fact expected it. As it turned out we can smile as the staff has garnered their first non conference road win, the team just won a championship, and one of our guys just got the MVP trophy (Shawn Long). Wed. game against Northwestern will be difficult as they score a lot and beat Auburn a few days ago.
