Ragin' Cajuns All Set
UL's baseball team, which held its first full-squad practice on Friday, has received similar honors in the preseason. The Cajuns are ranked No. 17 by PING! Baseball, No. 19 by Baseball America and CSTV.com, No. 28 by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and No. 32 by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.
Rivals.com ranked UL's weekend pitching rotation - which includes junior Danny Farquhar and seniors Buddy Glass, Hunter Moody and Brent Solich - as one of the nation's best. Farquhar was named to the Brooks Wallace award watch list, and junior Scott Hawkins was selected to the NCBWA Preseason All-America Team as a third-team pick.
