This is weird since I just looked at that site before being updated a few days before and he was nowhere in the first round or two. However, after perusing other mocks for both 2014 and 2015, this is the only one that I've seen having Elfrid projected in either of the first two rounds for either year
draft express has him at 30 in 2015 draft

also here is what nbadraft.net says about him
"Payton has great agility and shows the ability to break down opponents off the dribble and get to the rim. He's a long, rangy athlete who shows tremendous foot speed and defensive tenacity. While his offensive game is hampered by a lack of shooting ability, he's developed into a solid scorer by getting to the rim for easy baskets. He skipped a grade in high school so he's an entire year younger than the junior class. He's sure to have scouts flocking to Lafayette for games all year to see him and teammate Shawn Long. NBA Comparison: Lindsey Hunter"
Ok, I'll concede that some people think Elfrid is ready for the NBA. We'll see if he is one of them.
I don't know if he is ready after this year, but with him being a sophomore age-wise, teams may wanna grab him now to help develop him.
It is not always about if he is ready or not, sometimes it is about potential and upside for the future. That being said we have a long way to go before he has to make that decision. He has a long was to go before his legs are ready for a NBA season. I look forward to the day that we can watch him in the NBA just like we watch so many of our former players in the NFL. I just hope that day comes later rather than sooner.
