Some familiar sounds lingered in the air Friday afternoon at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field as UL's baseball team held its first official full-squad practice in preparation for the 2008 season.
The smacking of gloves.
The ping of aluminum bats.
The occasional burp from players.
"They're happy to be finished with all that conditioning," said UL coach Tony Robichaux, whose players started conditioning and individual workouts on Jan. 15. "They're ready to go today on the field."
