If that is the case then why would it matter what ASU does, or whether or not we win the league outright before the NO bowl extends us an invitation?
They don't have to take the champion as long as the champion is placed in another bowl. I guess the scenario would be if ASU wins the championship and Mobile refuses to take them NOLA would have to if there was no other Bowl willing to take ASU.

NIU and us in the NO bowl...it's just taking longer because they are working the money out.

What bowls are those and where will the money come from if a low number of tickets are sold?

---RED BUG I think you have hit on the right question in that it might be totally on ticket sales by the schools with the exception maybe of certain expenses----Seems like somebody would know all that therre is to the Bowl questions of who pays what to whom for each bowl---My former HS team mate Conrad Meyer headed up the Sugar Bowl --maybe I'll run into him sometime!!!!

Actually, I'm pretty sure its supposed to be a reward for the team AND the fans.

And Vice Versa. If we win the championship, Mobile is less than enthused about taking the Red Wolves once again and that is the only other bowl that the SBC has a tie in this year. Therefore, the redwolves would have to be accomodated for as well.

Not exactly. If we win the championship, the Go Daddy is free to take any bowl eligible SBC team.

It's for the players... What did the fans do? Drink beer? Eat? Watch entertainment? Did the fans run stadiums? Did they go to 5am workouts? Do they practice? If it was a reward for the fans there would be no discussion of where...we would go to New Orleans even if we were playing Erath.

As long as the champion is placed somewhere, both bowls are free to take whoever they want.

Yes, but the conference will want the bowl eligible teams accounted for, especially the Red Wolves
