Where is the Plaque

_ It was more than a prank. It was as much a defacement of UL tradition as much as it was of a Yvette Girard memorial. When someone, anyone sees the destruction of their own school's traditional memorial as justifiable no matter who it honors, then they have a major problem with self esteem & should not even begin to expect anyone else from anywhere else to respect them. That is the way it is. Anyone who disagrees with this neither understands tradition, respect, nor class & will never be a champion in sports or in life. _

If there were an area of photos of former UL football coaches---Would you put Baldwin's photo in the mix???? In my opinion---NNNNOOOO Way!!!!!! YG's move wasn't as bad but even she has acknowledged her poor actions in leaving---NO photo & no plaque!!!!

As usual, Kyle, you have made yet another thread more about YOU than the actual topic. You just assume on every thread that you are the ultimate authority. That has become boring.

I know there are some people getting p!#$3d off by what I'm posting right now, but there is a reason for me doing it. You want me to say I think there are some jack @$$3S at LSU. I can say that without a doubt. But there are also some very good people there too. I can't do a dern thing about those people, but this community is where I live. We can be better. We can have way more class. But the biggest part of having more class is showing more class.

I'm telling you that if this school were to put that plaque back up it would be the classiest move that everyone in this community would respect beyond degree. You want someone to respect you, then you have to respect yourself first. I tell you now, if they did that it would do more good for this school than anyone could imagine. This school should invite Yvette back & have a day in her honor. You don't have to be the biggest to be the classiest.

We now honor Beryl Shipley and he put the basketball program on the Death Penalty. Yvette built this softball program form the ground up. Understandably she may have looked like an ass when she left, but it's time to let bygones be bygones.

Without YG, the softball program would probably be an average mid major. And for those of you who say the Lotiefs built this program, I don't agree with that. Of course they have done a phenomenal job, but it started with YG. She brought the Lotiefs here after all.

WHO is responsible! It isn't the athletic administration. As I understand it the University had nothing to do with it being put up in the first place. Apparently fan(s) did this on their own accord and dime. Guess what they probably decided to revoke it on their own as well.

The University should not be held account for fixing something that they never intended to do in the first place.

If LSU ever decides to stop playing Henry VIII in Louisiana....maybe we can talk. She didn't want her 2002 players getting all nostogic about her past history at Lady Cajun Park so she had it removed so they would go into the series with the heart of Tiger.

Another version has it she removed it so she herself wouldn't get all mushy coming home.
