Nothing apparantly. I checked his site this morning and there is nothing about it. But, the Reveille reported it and it is being discussed on the Rant. Here's what I found.

    http://media.www.lsureveille.com/med...-2924469.shtml

    http://www.tigerdroppings.com/rant/m....asp?p=4998837

    http://www.tigerdroppings.com/rant/m....asp?p=5010425

And I saw this posted this morning on the Rant.

    http://www.tigerdroppings.com/rant/m....asp?p=5023269

It makes you wonder what is going on over there. Is there a story or not? It's only being discussed on the Rant and in the Reveille. LSU isn't talking about it. The Advocate isn't talking about it. Also, I don't think that anything has been mentioned in the DA nor any TV stations. So, is there a story that is being covered up or just a nonstory? I guess this one will just have to play itself out at a snail's pace.

The plague is now safely buried in the foothills just S of the little town of Jasper, in Walker County Alabama.

It seems pretty clear that the school did nothing of the sort... that a&m UNILATERALLY took us off the schedule...

So now Kyle.... what was the REAL reason you did not "re-up".... which assumes you are truthful that you had season tickets to begin with _
I don't care if you believe I ever had season tickets to any event or if I ever gave money to the school or not. You are an idiot, a liar, & you can't leave well enough alone. Obviously some A--hole pulled a plaque honoring someone who was the most successful coach in that school's history off of a wall honoring that person's accomplishments during their tenure at the school. How childish & embasillic is that?

Then the next week after the LITTLE fracus, I personally heard Tony Robichaux say that they would probably not play LSU for a while. I didn't hear him say it was Smoke's idea along I heard him say plain & simple that they wouldn't play for a while. Furthermore, I don't care. You are a big baby & a liar. anyone can see through you like crystal. if your devotion was half as great as your hatred for some school that isn't even in your conference you'd be cutting grass at the school every day seven days a week. I have just posted facts. You can't handle that because you are too immature & childish to handle the truth. Guess what. Santa Clause aint real either.

It's people like you that cause more trouble for UL than support.

On that part of the quote, can you really blame her for having her feelings hurt after what she did for the school? How do people think that kind of thing goes over with some potential coach who could be considering coming here to coach? Does anyone think doing something stupid like that is conducive to hiring a bright promising young coach, when you disrespect a former student & alumni of your own like that?

No I can't, I understand her feelings being hurt, mine would have been too. At the same time she has no idea who did it. No one does. But she took it out on the school, when it may have just been a misguided fan.

Like you, I can't judge an entire fan base or school based on what one or even a few fans may or may not do. Evidently, Yvette can.

Side note: about the same time there was a rash of thefts involving the (24-30 inch) special metal Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns discs.

But that's not right Turbine. It happened at the school. On school grounds. That should be a hollowed place for tradition. Had I been the president of the university, I would have made a public statement that the school doesn't condone behavior like that & that I was having an investigation done to find the guilty party/ parties & have them brought to law. I would have also had the plaque replaced & a gated facility put in. It might not have been a school happening, but it was the school's responsibility to protect school property & tradition. If you want your tradition respected by others then you should be the first to respect it yourself.

I know there are some people getting p!#$3d off by what I'm posting right now, but there is a reason for me doing it. You want me to say I think there are some jack @$$3S at LSU. I can say that without a doubt. But there are also some very good people there too. I can't do a dern thing about those people, but this community is where I live. We can be better. We can have way more class. But the biggest part of having more class is showing more class.

I'm telling you that if this school were to put that plaque back up it would be the classiest move that everyone in this community would respect beyond degree. You want someone to respect you, then you have to respect yourself first. I tell you now, if they did that it would do more good for this school than anyone could imagine. This school should invite Yvette back & have a day in her honor. You don't have to be the biggest to be the classiest.

Kyle, yes. A theft occurred as well as a defacement of public property. Can't say I'm totally innocent when looking back at my own college days. But, we just saw the poisoning of oaks at Auburn by some nutcase Tide fan over a Cam Newton jersey on Bryant's statue. But, some perspective is in order here.

The theft of that plaque probably ranks in the four digit rankings of college pranks...

Z will return it when the opportunity presents itself.

And what classy moves has LSU shown towards....ANY other university in this state? You get what you put in. That's what I have always been taught. If LSU ever decides to stop playing Henry VIII in Louisiana....maybe we can talk. But right now...______ them. ______ that whole cookie cutter, classless, redneck, brain dead, amalgamated sh-thole of a town and their ______ing flagship.

Class? Tell me how much class they showed during the name change? Tell me how much class they showed during the death penalty years? Tell me how much class they showed....ever? So...here it is Kyle...who are you gonna side with....them....or us. I don't care that LSU has good people who cheer for it...what they stand for is everything wrong with sports today. It's evil and morally reprehensible. So pretty please Kyle....don't lecture us about class and respect when what goes on 50 miles east is a big ______ you to the rest of the state. That does not deserve respect. I don't care who was right and who was wrong...all I care about is Geaux Cajuns.

It was more than a prank. It was as much a defacement of UL tradition as much as it was of a Yvette Girard memorial. When someone, anyone sees the destruction of their own school's traditional memorial as justifiable no matter who it honors, then they have a major problem with self esteem & should not even begin to expect anyone else from anywhere else to respect them. That is the way it is. Anyone who disagrees with this neither understands tradition, respect, nor class & will never be a champion in sports or in life.
