It looks like former Lafayette City Councilman Chris Williams will get his day in court in January.
According to court records, Williams' civil suit against Lafayette Housing Authority is set for a trial date on Jan. 21, at 1:30 p.m. in front of 15th Judicial District Court Judge Edward Broussard.
Williams filed the suit against the LHA in 2011, seeking more than $19,000 in wages he claims he was owed under a contract between the authority and his company, Lafayette Career and Training Development.
