Thread: The Chris Williams File

  1. Default Trial date set in Chris Williams' lawsuit against housing authority

It looks like former Lafayette City Councilman Chris Williams will get his day in court in January.

According to court records, Williams' civil suit against Lafayette Housing Authority is set for a trial date on Jan. 21, at 1:30 p.m. in front of 15th Judicial District Court Judge Edward Broussard.

Williams filed the suit against the LHA in 2011, seeking more than $19,000 in wages he claims he was owed under a contract between the authority and his company, Lafayette Career and Training Development.

“The university is working with the [Louisiana] Legislative Auditor, reviewing all relevant records,” Savoie says. “When that review is complete, we will respond as warranted. I can’t move until I know what reality is.”

This is an interesting quote in light of Dr. Savoie's silence on the Sun Belt name topic. He should know what the reality is by now.

The reason I was looking at this thread was to find out if Chris Williams still works at UL? Last I read he has a suit to be heard this month.

Yes he still works at UL, if he didn't guess who would be named in the suit.

Ha! And is he still working two other full time jobs outside of UL as well?
