Seriously though, I am not at all pleased with the hiring of Dr. Savoi and now the appointment of Jerry "Luke" LeBlanc. The whole thing reeks of political back door dealing. I hope I am wrong.

This is really embarrassing to the University. This guy knowingly broke the law, tried to claim he did not break the law, wasted a lot of this cities time and resoures in the process and he is rewarded with a professorship at a major University. This is just sad. If I were a Professor at UL I would not be happy at all.

I disagree, I think it "reeks" of competent, well connected people who will lead our university into a new era. I hope you are wrong too. Also, I don't think those guys have much to do with hiring this knucklehead as a prof.

Not that I'm thrilled with it either, but to be fair, he hasn't been awarded a professorship. He is only teaching an introductory class, and I assume will be considered nothing more than an adjunct professor. He is eligible to be fired just as quick as he was hired.

Now the question is...Will the people who dislike this appointment actually voice their concerns to the Poly Sci dept, its college, and the University, or will they just _____ about it?

I hope you are correct. Only time will tell though, and I am not getting any younger. I don't think I can take another 30 years or so of another Dr. A type.

Has J. Luke no shame. He is head of the State Medical Review Panel in refineryville.(ie government job) The Crony zzzzzzzz are out of power in refineryville and he of course loses that government job -- so to the rescue is T-Joe with yet another government job.
