LAFAYETTE --Even after opening losses to Arkansas and Kansas State, many UL football fans were forecasting a 10-2 season. In other words, 10 straight victories to close the regular season. Never mind that the Ragin' Cajuns had never won double-digit games ... in fact, had only won nine in the regular season twice in school history.
Now, those forecasts don't look that far-fetched, and there's the good possibility the Cajuns could be headed to New Orleans and a third straight appearance in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl on at worst the nation's seventh-longest win streak.
