I think most of us are pulling for Miss St and Dan Mullens and I think that he may be safe for another year.

Unfortunately while we were all out buying cowbells, Florida has been stinking it up and Muschamps seat is getting hotter and hotter.

Should we be worried that the Gators come calling?

Let's go beyond that. Let's say USC comes after Kevin Sumlin, opening up A&M. Let's say Texas cans Mack Brown and they go take Art Briles from Baylor. This is gonna be a off season with a high "pucker factor". If you don't know what a "pucker factor" is...you don't need to know.

these are things that are out of our control. what we can do is keep building on the foundation Hud and RCAF has created and hopefully when that day comes where hud is offered a job we can offer him more money or get Hud 2.0. Cause lets be honest here...as an ambitious man, if florida comes calling...he'll go. The great thing about the past three years is that Hud has proven that a coach can win at UL and that Lafayette is an attractive destination.

The key is who we hire after HUD. He will leave eventually. I just hope we don't get a Ark St situation where its a yearly revolving door. Hopefully, Farmer hires someone with a similar brand of football. Since its all hypotheticals, anyone have any coaches they would love to see come here to coach?

Prolly not but the dominos would eventually effect us after a while.

I think one thing to consider with the SEC and BIGXII schools are the unrealistic expectations of the big money donors. Success is measured in being a top ten school and competing for a national championship. Patience is thin for "building" a winner over a few years.

As much as I don't want to see HUD leave, I'm more worried of losing Coach Whitt. I think he is a big part of this teams focus and motivation, and makes this team tick. But my gut feeling is HUD is gone after this year. There will be too many openings after this season. But I've been wrong before and hope I am wrong again!!
