Good idea. By that time, there will likely be some ____ed off fans who may not be as much on the bandwagon that they were once on. Especially when they play the day before so we should have a great crowd that day. Hopefully the weather is nice and everything falls into place on the field.

People who have never been to a UL game will get to see some crazy Cajuns when LAMON comes to town, should be a packed house.

The WORST date to have a home football game is the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

There are 3 weekends in the year that hotel people hate because their hotels are empty. The weekend after Thanksgiving, the first full weekend after New Year's Day and the first full weekend after the 4th of July. Historical people do not travel on these dates. So if you are going to schedule a conference or family reunion it is a great time of year, if it is a sporting event, not so great.

I agree, but at least the tiggers are not playing that day. This game will surely impact the standings and create some interest. We will have realitives in and take them to the game.

Biggest loss will be the students going home for the weekend....and the folks traveling out of town to visit family.

On the other side of the coin, there will be people traveling to Lafayette to visit family and friends. Just need to promote the game better.
