    This is the first part in a series of 5 posts, in which we will take a very brief look at each of the potential candidates for Microsoft’s next CEO._ This will not be an analysis if the individual is the right person for the job, but just some background information and career highlights._ Each of the candidates go through a very thorough vetting process by the board, below is a brief glimpse at some of the information they may be looking at. Satya Nadella is the only Indian and youngest candidate in the running for the next CEO at Microsoft._ He has a reputation for driving people to work hard and demands excellence._ Outside of work, he is said to be a sweet and charming individual, which has earned him the nickname Satya “Nutella” due to his chocolate brown skin color._ Some observers have also mentioned a transformation in Nadella’s image, similar to that of J Allard, following the departure of Bill Gates and Bob Muglia._ Nadella is in...

  3. Default Report: Alan Mulally And Satya Nadella Likely To Be Next Microsoft CEO

    Bloomberg today reported that Microsoft’s board has decided on Ford Motor CEO Alan Mulally and internal executive Satya Nadella as the likely candidates who might become the next Microsoft CEO.

    Even though the previously reported internal candidate Tony Bates and former Nokia CEO Stephen Elop remain in the possible candidates list, Bloomberg reports that they are currently considered less likely to be offered the top job. Preferences remain fluid and other people are being considered and could emerge as front-runners, said one of the people, without identifying any.

    According to Microsoft board, an ideal CEO for Microsoft was described as one who has an "extensive track record in managing complex, global organizations within a fast-paced and highly competitive market sector; track record of delivering top and bottom line results.   12. Default Satya Nadella Speaks On The Big Challenge For The Incoming CEO Of Microsoft

    Based on various reports from Bloomberg, Recode, and many other news publications, Microsoft’s current executive vice president of Cloud and Enterprise group is likely to become CEO of Microsoft.

    GigaOM’s Om Malik did an interview with Satya few months back and he published it yesterday. It is an very interesting interview in which Om asks questions like, “What does the future of Microsoft productivity apps and Microsoft's Enterprise business look like, say in 2020?”, “What is your biggest challenge right now from a cloud and enterprise standpoint in the company?” and more.
