Most of your post went away, but:

Steven Wronkowski and Kevin Brown looked good to me.

Elfrid and Long of course. I'm not much of a basketball guru, but Kande and that German kid look like they'll be good contributors.

Brown didn't shoot very well after starting off hot. I didn't think any of the new guys stood out

I'm not gonna go as far as to say we will be bad this year, but it is hard for me to imagine the team I saw yesterday getting very far past mediocrity. I am officially in "I'll believe it when I see it" mode with Marlin. I hope I'm wrong, but I have zero confidence he's gonna put a great Cajun team on the court any time soon.

I'll still be there to support though.

I was impressed with Kande out of the new guys. That dude gets after it and seems like he has a big up side.

We need help inside rebounding. Long can't do it all. I'm really hoping Davenport comes along but he didn't look promising last night against an undersized team.

Still missing a quality 5-man. Long is better facing the basket. Looks like we will be 9 or 10 deep that can get after it on D. I would think that suits us to run a little more than the past couple of years. I agree pretty much everything Boomer posted about it earlier.

Was dissappointed last night... Was hoping to see Elfrid shoot more...Davenport will not be able to hang against d1 talent...the German kid is way too slow. Reminded me of AMT, couldn't stay in front of his man.

Wronkowski and Long to me looked the best! Payton seemed at times to press too much and played somewhat tight. The whole team sucked at the free throw line. Passing was poor at times and rebounding needs some work as I think this undersized team out rebounded the Cajuns. I liked the German kid, yep needs to work on that first defensive step, a bit slow, shot good though. Register pushed his shots but he will settle down and be fine. I liked Kande, quick and hustled. Davenport, drop another 30-50# and hopefully this will increase his quickness.

Reading the recent JJ thread made me think of this gem of a prediction. Guess I don't know everything after all...

In all fairness, at that point of the season, he didn't look as good or was not playing as well as he was this past weekend so its hard for anybody to have predicted he would contribute like he did down the stretch. The only problem with Davenport is that we get him for only another year but hopefully he will be able to drop 20-30 pounds and really shine.
