Shreveport: The Grandaddy of Bad Bowl Games

Would you turn down an invitation to the Independence Bowl?
Right now, I'd settle for any bowl. Hopefully in the upcoming years, we as cajun fans, will be able to be more picky!
The funny thing is that this is all true. I've visited a friend there for a weekend not too long ago. It was horrible. lol
Hey it can't be all bad. Why don't they just take all the players on deer hunting trip. Hahahaha. Better yet, they could partake in some lumberjacking contests.
If I had a semi all expenses paid trip to Shreveport, the first thing I would want to do is tour the facility that causes that city to stink to high heavens. Every time I drive through it smells like the whole town is one big cow pattie processing plant.
I visit Shreveport frequently as my in-laws live there. It's not heaven, but there are worse places to spend a couple of days and I've never noticed the smell. I can't swear I know where every bowl game is played, but I'd wager Shreveport is the smallest city to host one and you have to give it credit for even being able to find a sponsor (however obscure) year after year. If this clown doesn't like the game, don't go and don't watch. It's okay. I'm surprised he forgot to mention that Barksdale's B-52's could turn the entire East coast (or Middle East) into glass without breathing hard. Maybe they could take one practice run down Highland....
