    Quad construction continues.

This project could get bogged down this winter.

Did they save the old walk of honor tiles?

Good question. IIRC they were replacing the pavers with bricks so that they would last longer. I'd be willing to purchase my paver "again" now that I see it is no longer there.

They are replacing the tiles with full depth brick pavers. From what I understand they will be a concrete base, sand bed and they will set the pavers in the sand bed. The concrete base will have a curb to keep everything in place. the sand bed will allow some flexibility and allow for expansion and contraction over the course of the year.

Those sidewalks would have been nice when I had 15 minutes to get from the psychology building all the way through the Quad to my english class! Ah, those were the days!

I wonder if the bigger brick pavers are going to match the look of the tiles on the old walk of honor.

IIUC, all of the pavers are to be replaced.

Looks like winter will be taking its toll on this project.

I wonder if anyone, at the very least, gets a bad performance review for designing a project, and then years later is determined to be poorly designed with a complete demolition necessary. (i.e., brick pavers)
