Whatever you think about their fans, the ULM players are to be respected as they overachieve every year in comparison to their resources. I may catch some flak for this but ULM can beat us if we don't start faster than we did yesterday. Fear no opponents but respect them all.

No flak here. Anyone can beat anybody any given day that's why they play the game. If we don't focus we can get our butts handed to us like anyone else.

But we will have at least 5 home games and won't have to give a home game away so Georgia State can have 7 home games..

It's their only chance to get 1400 people in the Georgia Dome

Only if 1,200 Cajun fans go to the game.

How about 6 + a season OOC in NOLA? I would be very happy if we could pull that off

A school will do anything possible to sign a recruit, sell a ticket, broadcast an athletic event, and/or move to a new/better looking conference.

Many people on RP want the cajuns to get into a better conference(BigXII or AAC) and i would love to see that, but i have a few issues with out current position. When is the last time the BIG XII or AAC/Big East took a team from the Sun Belt in the past 15-20 yrs? ( Answer: Never). This is my theory- moving into CUSA will give us the best chance to advance our athletic program into the future (bigger conferences, increased revenue, better bowls/TV coverage) and this is why...Big12 lost Mizzou(SEC), TXAM(SEC), Colorado(Pac12), Nebraska(Big10)...... Big12 filled losses with WVU(from Big east/AAC), TCU(from MWC)..still down 2 schools (10 total)......ACC will lose maryland and others next yr and will refill with Louisville and other schools ...AAC will admit Tulsa, Tulane, and ECU (all cusa members) in 2014 and Navy in 2015...CUSA has admitted schools in preparation for this MTSU, FIU, FAU, WKU, NT, all from SBC...In order to move into the dream conferences we all desire, we must show the willingness and ability to make a move. We must pay the dues along the ladder of conferences in order to move into the dream conference. Big12 and AAC are not looking at the SBC schools to fill their roster.
Only to fans, not to university presidents. A u. p. will not leave a conference that pays his school $1M in post season revenue for one that pays $500K. The natural progression is "follow the dollars." Right now, the dollars flow from the Sun Belt to Conference USA to the next one in line. One year from now, when the dollars flow in a different direction, the attention will also change direction. Perception is important. It's simply not the main criteria university presidents use to make their decisions.

You misunderstand me. I meant 1400 (200 x 7) as a season total not a single game attendance.

Perception does matter to university presidents. In just about every one of these moves the university officials have cited a desire to be associated with certain schools, schools they consider peers both athletically and academically. I don't think T-Joe sees Moanroe, the GSU twins and Application State are our peers that we want to be associated with.

This damned small time thinking was so symptomatic of the Authement regime. What's got you so enamored with the Belt? Karl promise to invite Liberty? Or maybe operating the shot clock at the basketball tourney? Or is this the pillow talk you are hearing in the AD's office to justify sitting idly on our asses when the next CUSA opportunity rolls around? If so that is all the more reason for a change in our athletic admin.

    ASU-ASU
    GSU-GSU
    UL-UL

The SBC better flee (and flee fast) from becoming known as the DCC

    Duplicate Content Conference.

ULM and Louisiana is the best, shortest, quickest path away from DCC.
