Anytime you have a chance to sign an athlete like Curry, you take him. The competition at the QB position will only make this program better in the long run. Curry has a great arm, but he still can run as well as Babb. Unless a BCS program comes back on him, we have a shot.

BTW, for those that thought we are not recruiting some good prospects, Demarius Johnson has been told LSU and Miami are going to offer him soon. _

Well that would have been ME.... This is indeed the type of recruiting news I was hoping to hear.. Thanks for posting it

    Cajun T,

This is a question that I'll preface by saying "I may not have the right to ask", but I will respect your response even if you are not allowed to respond, i.e., because of NCAA stuff.

Did Anthony Ledet (WR) out of FB Hightower in Houston Texas ever take a visit to UL

Have you heard of any other possiblities for his future as a collegiate player?

Laday never visited at UL, he has family in Opelousas and wanted to play close to home. Gene Johnson coached high school football in Louisiana, so he is familiar with most of the college football programs in the state. Laday had interest from several other programs including McNeese State. He is a good athlete and can play, so he will get a shot with some program.

With the type of offense we run we need 3-4 quarterbacks on the depth chart. With the loss of Morel and Hundley, signing two quarterbacks is necessary. When you have a running quarterback it takes one hit to put him out of comission.

I have heard from a relative in Mamou that the Cajuns are recruiting Robert Walker out of Mamou High, he will be a senior next year and has put up some impressive numbers.

I see where next years opponent has already "SIGNED" 6 players to national letters of intent.

Wildcats Sign Six to Mid-Year NLIs

I did not know this was an option for the football program.

JC players who graduate in 1 1/2 years can sign in December as they will enroll in school in January. The key there is having graduated from JC. If you don't graduate from JC until after the Feb. signing date, you can't sign early.

Dude if everyone hasnt figured it out I love the Cajuns... That does not mean accepting status quo when it appears to me to be going nowhere... I have posted I will eat Crow Gumbo on the 50 yard line if Bustle turns this thing around ( a stirring 3 game win streak to claim 3rd place in the Belt is not turning it around... I feel like a long weekend in New Orleans next year to celebrate his 7th Season would be appropriate) and be the happiest guy around. I'm not going into any negative arguments becasue today he is our coach and as such I support him... If this recruiting year turns out the way it sees we are on our way...

Go Buckeyes... But most of all Go Cajuns
