  1. UL Football Re: Official Louisiana Injury Report

The Cajuns will be without back-up running back Undrea Sails (knee), back-up linebacker Chris Richard (shoulder, back), cornerback Junior Jean (shoulder) and offensive lineman Jaron Odom (knee) this weekend against Florida Atlantic.

Starting weakside linebacker Daylon McCoy is doubtful with a hamstring injury.

The sophomore leads the team this season with 56 total tackles and 38 solos.

UL coach Rickey Bustle said McCoy and junior Jezreel Washington will both travel with the team this weekend. Washington has been suffering from turf toe.

  2. UL Football 22 Ragin' Cajuns Homeward Bound

Looking ahead to UL's football game on Saturday at Florida Atlantic, Jonathan Decoster started the ticket trade proposals last year.

Decoster, a sophomore right tackle for UL, wanted to make sure he got as many tickets as possible to play in his home state. Each Cajun player gets four tickets to each game, so gathering up enough tickets for his 30 family members and friends took some extra work for the Miami native.

That meant trading tickets with teammates every chance he got. Now he's got his tickets and is ready for the Cajuns (5-4 overall, 4-0 Sun Belt) to play FAU (4-5, 2-2) in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

  3. UL Football Opponent View: Wide receiver Gent regaining form

Boca Raton - Together since they arrived on FAU's Boca Raton campus in 2005, wide receiver Cortez Gent and quarterback Rusty Smith turned into a formidable duo last season.

Smith threw for 3,688 yards and 32 touchdowns, and Gent had 1,082 of those yards and nine of the touchdowns.

But both suffered from slow starts this year, as FAU went 1-5 before things began turning around.

Gent had the best game of his season last Saturday with seven catches for 116 yards and two touchdowns in the 46-13 win over North Texas.

That followed another two touchdown game for Gent, who caught the game winner in the final seconds of play against Louisiana-Monroe.

That play was reminiscent of last year, when Gent caught a touchdown pass in the final seconds of regulation that allowed FAU to tie Louisiana, a game FAU would win in the first overtime.

I did not see Brad McGuire listed in the injury report. Does this mean he is 100% and has been practicing hard all week?

Well, I been around long enough to know that just bout anything is possible, but I have no reason to believe that the Tech administration would submit incorrect paid attendance figures to the NCAA. Of course, I'm only assuming that's how the NCAA got the data they posted.

It is borderline incredible we are sitting at 5-4, 4-0 with the number of critical injuries we have had.......

In order to please the fickle football Gods, I have personally resigned the Cajuns B-Ball game Saturday as a loss. If we are afforded a win against FAU, I promise not to be too greedy and expect our ballers to beat Tech. I will be happy!

Hopefully, my sacrifice will be accepted...

Just to make sure I-10 is open, we're leaving Wednesday. There may be another reason, like a granddaughter in Montgomery, but I'm not sure. I think we just want a good parking place.

I talked to a couple of guys on the Troy forum, and they all say the best spots to tailgait is along university. Just get there a little early, and we will be out there in an RV. Like everyone else says, there is no need to walk ten minutes to get to the game. Especially if they let you reenter after halftime.
