One of the most frustrating things about our defense is how we defend the "Trips" formation (3 WRs to one side). We play a weak zone with a corner outside of the widest receiver... a linebacker splitting the 2nd and 3rd WR... and a safety 10 yards deep on the hash.

As a result, the "Bubble Screen" has killed us.

OR... we play press man coverage on 4th & 5 and we let the QB (with a 4.8 forty) run the option for 30 yards.

Sorry, not true. A great throw by Des would have been a TD. Chery had to slow up and wait for the ball and the defender tipped it away. The throw was about 3 yards too short.

So Miss has 8 guys in the box. Daring us to throw and playing man-to-man... and we can't make them pay. 1-on-1 is a WRs dream... but we're making it look like a nightmare
