That's the best alternate route in order to avoid the interstate. _
Too many turns you don't need, that will add 45 minutes to the already extended trip. Here is a good route that will take you there and back while avoiding the LSU/BR & New Orleans traffic:

Hey man, whatever it takes to G.I.D.O.D.B. ;-)

  3. UL Football Chery hopes to help reshape UL offense

UL — Don’t expect the University of Louisiana passing game to operate in the shadow of its nationally ranked running attack.

That’s because as UL senior wide receiver Jason Chery says, the Cajuns’ pass catchers have a point to prove.

“Things are not going to change around here. We’re certainly going to run the ball, but (the receivers) want to make this team better and show UL is not going to be ranked No. 115 in the nation,” Chery said about the Cajuns passing attack.

UL unveils the new direction of its passing game Saturday when the Cajuns open the season at 6 p.m. at Southern Miss.

Last season the Cajuns averaged 155 yards a game passing and 6.0 yards per catch —seventh among the eight Sun Belt Conference teams — while the rushing attack ranked No. 4 nationally.

This year UL is advertising a more aggressive passing attack, using Chery and senior wide receiver Derrick Smith as the two main components.

I like how chery said UL but the writer was sneaky enough to edit it out in the print...

At some point they (the advocate) should be asked to leave. If they can't get a quote right without injecting their "agenda" then they are doing a "disservice" to our university.

*see I can use parenthesis and quotation marks; you think they (the advocate@BR) have an opening for me....

I believe the clauses in his contract state that if he has a winning record, the contract automatically extends one extra year through 2009. If he wins a conference title, the extension goes until 2011. If he doesn't have a good year, we can fire him with no penalty or buyout. I'd check with CajunT to verify but I think this is how it goes

How well we performed will. Same goes for if we lose.

If you win, you won't be beating the CUSA flagship. Thanks anyway, but for now, it is a incorrect statement. _
And I about to lose a boat load of money (for me anyway) on the UTEP game. So much for that week vacation in Orlando for the UCF game.

Default 5 USM Tickets for $ale

We have 5 tickets for sale to anyone who needs tickets to the USM game on Saturday. We have a large group going, but 5 people had to back out because of Gustav. (they were activated by the National Guard) We are just trying to help them out so they are not stuck paying for tickets they can't use. If interested, I can be reached at 504-202-2676.

Yeah, I don't think UTEP is the CUSA flagship either.

At least we can all agree we want to beat them this year.

I have a copy of the extension right here:

Extra year with a winning record and two years by winning a conference title
