I have a group of 15 going to the game....where are the UL people tailgaiting? We want to set up shop near allies.....
To shed insight on my predictions. I'm an eternally pessimistic optimist (in regards to Cajun football), who happens to have a hunch that this years team might surprise some folks. So here goes...........
USM - W (swing game that we win)
Illini - L (possible yet highly unlikely that we'd win)
Kent - W (home game that's another swing game we win)
K state - L (semi-swing game that we lose a close one to)
ULM - W (swing game that we win)
NTU - W (swing game that we win)
ASU - W (home game that another swing game we win)
FIU - W (home game that's a definite win, knock on wood)
UTEP - L (home game that's another swing game we win)
FAU - L (swing game that's a loss)
Troy - W (swing game that's a win)
M Tenn - W (home game that a swing game we win)
By my count, we only have one sure loss (Illinois), one sure win (FIU), one semi swing game that's more in favor of the other team (K-State), and the rest are swing games. My final prediction is 8-4 and I don't care what bowl we go to, just that we go to one and win it.
I think that anything less than 7 wins will be a disappointment. I hope that Bustle does 7 wins or more, or 3 wins or less, because with 7 or more wins there's no doubt to give him some more time. 3 wins or less there is no doubt to get rid of him. 4-6 wins is in that limbo zone where we're not sure what to do, and the grumbling gets worse. Only 6 win scenario that I like and where I say we keep him no doubt is that we win the conference championship AND go to a bowl.
God Bless
GEAUX UL RAGIN CAJUN FOOTBALL!!!!!!
AND A HEARTY "DEAUXN'T GEAUX" TO ALL OUR OPPONENTS!![]()
That's what we like to hear. (: Go Eagles!
You obviously haven't kept up much with the team over the past 9 months or so. If you had, you'd see that this team in general has beefed up considerably. It took fan day and scrimmage #2 for me to see and believe it. I never thought I'd say Hall Davis is 255 pounds but he is. This Defense, in particular, has beefed up quite a bit. Will that translate into wins? Who knows but there is no way they are as bad as they were last year. You will see them give up some big plays due to the amount of youngsters that will be playing but they will also make some plays.
Many USM fans are optimistic about our game against your Cajuns. Many are also concerned since we will have a new head coach and coaching staff along with a freshman qb and totally new dline.
USM will also have some real stars on our team that contribute to the optimism...

None of our fans doubt the talent. However, we feel like we've got some good youth at certain positions. We also feel that it is pretty funny to be penciled in as an automatic W against a team that hasn't exactly torn it up the last couple of years in a league that is not as far ahead of the sunbelt as it used to be. Many of your fans were amazed when looking at this board that we actually thought we could come in and beat you guys.
We have reason to be optimistic too. Check out our 3 stars.
Tyrell Fenroy #22 Running Back

Chris Fisher #19 Center

Drew Edmiston #21 Place Kicker

We get screwed a bit in these rankings because we are in the Sunbelt. Also with Des at QB......who knows?
Ought to be a real competitive game.
