This schedule sucked before. Now, moving Senior night to a wednesday for TV? When, in all liklihood, this team will be hovering around .500 or worse? I would hope we are getting something real good out of this deal other than 'exposure'. I know what I say to myself when I see those types of games during the season...and its usually 'boy I hope they never come to our house unless were real good so we'll look much better than this'.

I really hope I'm wrong. I really hope this game will have a berth to a Bowl on the line, or we have already clinched it.

is there any law saying a school can't honor the seniors for the first game of the year? i may ask around on this.. probably too late for this year, but let's do it in the future..

This is such an easy schedule I wonder how long it will take to get busseled up and stink!

    I'm with you there.

Have you ever seen a schedule where you only have 2 home games out of the first 9 weeks?

    Default not good..

never.. 3 out of 4 on the road has normally been called "a tough" way to start..

    ps. off to scrimmage

Weeks two and nine are open, making 4 home games in first 9.

    What?

An open date means the team is not playing.

I thought you were referring to the difficulty of the schedule; like out of our first 9 games 7 are on the road.

    my bad

Nothing like a good ol' money schedule... this is pathetic... If the Cajuns ever want to get out of the cellar of college football, they have to man up and get away from the money games...

    You are exactly right.

You can't willingly dig a hole early in the season (year in and year out) and then expect the team to automatically flip a switch and be totally motivated when conference starts.

    I disagree with your assessment.

We have 2 money games next season. That is completely reasonable.

3 or 4 is too much.

You can't stop playing major programs altogether. 1 or 2 a year is fine.

What is ridiculous is what Troy, FIU, and Florida Atlantic have been doing playing 4 or 5 per year recently.

    That's nuts.

By the way, the last 2 seasons Troy and Florida Atlantic were SBC champions.
