The point was that the "worst conference in America" had a winning record against your conference over the past two years. Bring up whatever poll, ranking formula, or excuse that your like; the results will not change.

You reference the wins came against the "lower teams" in your conference. Please explain. Who are the "upper teams" in your conference? What determines such a classification? I can only speak to games that I'm aware of, and on that note, I remember that we beat Houston the year that they won your conference championship. Were they a "lower team" that year?

I'm sure that you have a nice program. And you're favored in this game. So why puff up so much and try to belittle our lowly little insignificant conference? Could it be that you're a little bit worried?

_ Favre's pop wanted him to come here but we already had an option QB which is what Favre ran mostly in high school. We wanted him to be a safety and he decided to go to USM because he knew he wasn't going to be given a shot with Mitchell here.

BTW, he has 3 or 4 NFL records and made a good share of pro-bowls (not sure on how many) _

The only option Favre had was Southern Miss, we were his only offer. We wanted him to play defense as well. But he wanted to be a QB, and started his first year last in the depth chart at that position. Of course that all changed in '87 against Tulane...

Cincy was average in CUSA, winning one CoChampionship. USF played .500 ball during their TWO years in CUSA.

USM was the flagship in CUSA's first four years, during the second four years it was Lousiville although we managed to win a Championship during that time. Since the raid its been UCF and Tulsa. Over the entire time Houston and Tulane have also helped. _

So what you are saying is you guys are to CUSA what North Texas is to the Belt? Get a grip dude, you guys are slightly better than we are. A MID LEVEL Mid Major.

You say thank you Mitchell and we say thank you Favre. To each school these two players define the programs. The main difference is your administration and community stepped up to the plate and did everything that it takes in order to succeed in football at the mid major level. While our administration did everything in their power to keep us from becoming a sports school.

What part of these are predictions don't you get? If your gonna really go off of a preseason poll, then I'm gonna make my own preseason poll and rank the sunbelt #1 in the world. Those ratings mean nothing until maybe about halfway through the season. I mean if thats the case, why even play the games, the RPI would tell us before the season who the best is. _

Pretty obvious, huh? Hell, just cancel the season based on the preseason predicitons. That's why I showed the So Miss fan the final conference Sagarain rankings from 2007 that factually prove the SBC was not "the "worst" in the nation.

If we don't make a bowl game this year everyone will be calling for bustle to go. If we have to keep him around because of the contract there will be no more fan support. Hopefully we make a bowl and everything will be ok for Bustle and UL Football. _

We could be really good and Coach could have done a fantastic job and we could still miss a bowl. Skat happens. Look at Troy last season. They just got left out.

North Texas.....you are kidding me right? Sure they owned the SBC but what did they do for the SBC nationally? Did they finish ranked in ANY poll? They won 1 New Orleans Bowl, against Cincy in thier CoChampionship year, you know the Cincy team you claim build CUSA.

But your last statement is really pretty far out there. We are slightly better than you? We are both mid level mid majors??? Well lets see....

Yes, it do. You only have to ask Tulane, Fla. St, Miami, Fresno St, So. Fla, UConn and on and on. I know that list is a mixed bad of BCS and non-BCS, but they all found some gold in their football programs which was not there at one time.

Look, the BCS is not perfect, but it has been very, very good to the team I support. So not surprisingly, I will cut it more slack than you. I will say that without the BCS we don't get some of the games which have taken place lately. Such as USC and Texas and others. So, it can't be all bad, can it? And before the BCS, was there a system in place which allowed the “gold” to be shared?

Rather than fair weather fans, I prefer to call them fans seeking entertainment value for their dollar. They are fans who have expectations when they open their wallet or take time out of their life to attend anything and that includes sports events. When those expectations are not fulfilled, they chose to find another way to be entertained.
It’s that way in all avenues of life and really it shouldn’t be that hard to understand or accept. Imo

And good luck in filtering out the good from the bad when you become more successful and Cajun football has them hanging from the nose bleed seats. Seems that would be bout as possible as allowing into our lungs only the particles we want when we breathe. A noble mission and no harm in trying, but............
