I am posting from my phone at a bar in hattiesburg so I dont know if my previous post is there. In my opinion, we will continue this crap until we quit trying to run "whats hot" in college football. until we do something else, we will continue to be disappointed.

I am extremely discouraged in what I am hearing. Talk about take all of the wind out of your sails. Most of the other SBC schools today are playing well against higher ranked BCS programs. What is the matter with us? Why is everyone else making strides in showing they belong in D1 football and we are getting blown out by USM? Can someone please explain it to me before I decide to stop going to the games? Why can't we be remotely competative? It is embarrasing to be a Cajun fan today!

You're not alone. This is sick. We did it wrong many years ago. What you do with a program many years ago is what you see in results today. Dr. Savoie has got to eat a big dose of this manure, get sick of it himself, and become a nut for UL football. Listening to the USM president at halftime... she gets it. The image the nation has of you has a lot to do with what you do in football... like it or not. UL does not make the rules.

God I still cant believe the coordinators were fired and he wasn't. Absolutely terrible. Id rather have Dooley than Bustle thats for sure. 7 damn years. 7. Does that make sense?

Truthfully, SCREW this football team and season. The storm is heading straight for my house. I never run from storms and I am actually going home for this one, but this one is the first storm that has me worried since Andrew. I was in the eye for Andrew and it's a CRAZY feeling. Bustle needs tp be fired, but times like this make us remember what's really important.

Here's a brief list of things I will refuse to discuss until we get a new coaching staff or win 3 in a row:

• Comparisons to Frank Beamer
• Reminiscing on Jake Delhomme and/or the "OMG TEXAS A&M GAME!!"
• Our Logo
• Our suited mascot
• Our Band
• The DJ
• The color of the cement wall surrounding the playing field
• The indoor practice field
• Billboards with other teams on them
• LSU and/or "OMG THEY'RE STEALING OUR FUNDING $$$"
• Our athletic budget
• Buying out contracts
• Louie Cook
• Field lighting
• Fan participation
• Conference membership and/or changing conferences
• The 2005 1-5 start (edit, for TuffGuy)

Why? Because, none of the things we lament over, fought for, hope for, or complain about have any impact on the field of play. If you mean to tell me that ANY of the above leads to our current record and the state of this football team, I would tell you to pass the drugs. Every team in this conference has jumped over our stagnant level of "excellence."

The talent is not getting developed.
The gameplan is not good.
The production is horrible.
The kool-aid is rotten.

Loser-ana at Laugh-at, indeed.

I have been holding judgment so far this year, but I think I've now made mine.

621 yards of offense, 9 shy of the school record... and not done yet. We are handing USM their largest offensive performance in their history, with a new HC, in their opening game of the season.

Gee, after this, I get to concentrate on Gustav. This is just great.

At least the Southern Miss fans have been great. Very hospitable and hopefully we can return the favor in Lafayette one day.

Amen, sign me up. The only good thing we will have is celebrating the best running back ever at our school. And thanking him for putting up with a losing team for most of those years. Fenroy deserves better!

Our uniforms look good. I see another terrible season. Oh well perhaps before we all die we will see a good Cajun football team again. Very sad.

It really is sad we are wasting the best RB we have ever had. The worst thing is next year should be a rebuilding year.
