The CB's were jumping all over the routes, I think if they would pump fake and take it up the sideline, that might be a good play if they bite on that pass in the Flats.

LSU vs USC nobody cares except poor LSU insecure fans. Your bouts with the LSU faithful is like talking to a coke junkie about quitting.
Bottom line the AP did not, nor has it ever said it had given up it's freedom to pick their own top twenty five, and oh yea that includes who is 1 or 2. No doubt OK should not have been the LSU opponent then none of this would be going on 5 years later.

I'm not just talkin about tonite....... I mean the history of football..
Who invented this play? it's stupid.
I'd rather run a draw with the FB on 3rd and 20 down by 10 in the 4th.
and I said TE, but really that play to whoever is not worth it.
I never liked any throw in the flats. Unless some sort of screen.
Yea I think the flat route came along with the Walsh-era west coast offense. I think it was originally supposed to be a quick run out to the sideline, not really a delayed pass.
It can be good on goal line situations and down and short yardage, but as mentioned, they were all over it
I guess it a habit since I deal with LSU vs USC and Crackheads vs Coke on a daily basis. I just got on a kick trying to prove LSU fans wrong and they keep giving me more variables to compare them to USC. And it hasnt worked in their favor yet. I just like using number to prove my points. It gives me something to do in my free time.

I agree, working for the state gives me entirely 2 much free time. However, I have always been a numbers person because numbers prove my point most of the time.

I thought those of you who were not at the game tonight might like to see the video I took of the final play of the game. Oh, that's Max, my 9 year old nephew and a certified rabid Ragin Cajun fan, at the end of the video.
I'm with you Z, I was not overly confident going into this game. With the injuries on Defense, our starting QB out, I had a bad feeling about this game going in but wow! We played like the best team in the conference tonight. Best game I've been to in the Swamp since the A&M game. I'm still jazzed.
I was next to the tunnel after the game and Brad McGuire and Rickey Bustle hugged and both were crying and that pretty much sealed that it seems like we got that big game monkey off of our back. Rickey's got alot of negatives but you've got to give him credit for getting players, not kids on the field. I mean to have back up linebackers and a QB playing the way they did tonight. That's good recruiting. I don't think you can deny that. We are bigger, faster, and stronger than any Cajun team we've seen in the past 10-15 years. I got a chance to see some of these guys up close and they are men. period.
I was on the hill on that endzone and I was crapping my pants! haha
