Thread: SBC Defensive Player of the Week

UL Football SBC Defensive Player of the Week

Ok I understand he had a lot of tackles, but they did nothing to stop us. He must have been the only one tackling us.

Senior NT Ryan Carrethers of @AStateRedWolves is this week's Defensive POW! He had the most single-game tackles (16) in the nation vs. UL

Another crappy stat. We had the ball for 3/4 of the game and ran the ball on 85% of our plays. We ran it up the middle 50% of the time. The NT is going to be the catch basket. He's a good player, but that stat is very misleading.

We gave him 86 chances, our defense only had 46 chances

    He did great.

He single handedly saved ASU from the Nicholls experience.

I would like to see a TpMP stat.

I really don't have any issues with this selection.

I really don't have any issues with this selection as it's a stat driven award. Unless you find a way to include "pressures" into the mix, this will probably always be the case.

    Best stat of the night:

    23-7

I remember when we had to console ourselves with who was named player of the game. Now it's just icing on the cake.
