Use of steroids is known to cause degeneration in muscular connective tissues like tendons and ligaments. Could it be that his shoulder wearing out coincided with steroid use? I think it's definately possible.

Everett signed with Minnesota today. Depending on what Bud Selig does in his "case by case" punishments he deals out, the Astros might seriously regret ever considering this trade.

You are correct. Bagwell is not on the list.

Astros just picked up the best closer in the NL last year in Valverde to polish off a decent bullpen. I'm not so concerned about us getting another starter anymore as long as we keep the guys we have healthy. Any pitcher who gets us to the 6th inning should have a really good chance of winning now and thats not something we were able to say since 2004.
