New Turf on Cajun Field

No joke. I'm not saying it won't happen, but I don't think it will start on time. Remember how long it took for them to start on the practice facility?

By the way, that nice finished indoor practice facility isn't so finished after all. As of two months ago, the building still did not have running water. They were supposed to tap into Bourgeois Hall's water line once the new weightroom was built, but since that's been tabled (see new thread I'm about to post for full details on that story) I think they were going to have to formulate a new plan.

I'm with you, when I see bulldozers ripping up the natural turf and I see the trucks bringing in the fake stuff, then i'll believe it.

Do you know what its going to look like? Any designs or what's gonna be painted in the endzone?

I got a wallet sized schedule for next football season which had the schedule on one side and the new look field on the other. If this is indeed what the turf will look like it will have LOUISIANA in Red outlined in White with a Black background in the endzones, Red Fleur de Lis on the 25's on each side and the Sun Belt Logo on the opposite 25's. It should look really good! Especially with the LOUISIANA in big caps (there was no sign of Lafayette below) and NO PEPPER!!!!!! I hope that this is what it looks like.

The Mid Field is the Ragin over Cajun Logo in Red and White. I don't remember the schedule off hand I know we go to Southern Miss for our first game and Kent St. at home then go to Illinois.
