New Turf on Cajun Field

Are you April fooling me late or what. I did not KNOW THAT. Well, Were is the posperity these days coming from. Must be inexpensive stuff if we are all getting it. lol.

SO, Grambling, Southern, & lsu are the only colleges not going to have turf. I would have lost that bet.

When slu returned football to Hammond one of the local state legislators got some fat cat (with no affiliation to slu, if I remeber correctly) to put up a large sum of money to renovate Strawberry Stadium and that incuded atrificial turf. So the slu turf is several years old.

The Manning family paid for the turf at Nicholls because Guidry Stadium and NSU is now the home of the Manning Passing Academy. I think the MPA used to be in Hammond but I guess it moved when slu brought football back; not sure why the two couldn't co-exist.

Check back in a year and see the New Field House that will tower over one end zone which will have a fan friendly concourse. The unique thing about our little stadium is that it is CLEAN!! CLEAN!! NO MILDEW!!

The best way to solve that is get Mike Nuestrom to supply some inmates that need to give "community" service. Supply them each with a pressure washer and turn them loose.

They want out of jail and UL gets free manpower. It will be done in two weeks. Cajun Field will be sparkling above your new turf. Just my two cents.

No your not, but thats OK. Our guys continually need to be embarrassed by that debacle. They need to throw up every morning at first light, just remembering the as.s whipping they took.

Aw, Zeebart!! I was just defending my "turf" (pun intended). I thought turnabout was fair play. Actually, the lesson is over and it's time to move on. I still feel you guys are sitting on a proverbial gold mine, but just have not put the pieces in place.

As the song says, "one step forward, two steps back." Hell, even Baldwin came back once again to deplete what pride and honor the Cajun faithful were left clinging to.

No loyal fans, anywhere, should have to endure that kind of treatment.

CUp, I wasn't distressed, disturbed, or P.O'd by your post! Hopefully our luck changes as of 07-01-08. Just remember, even with the 100+ million in endowments we have. we are still no better than a tier 4 university?? Are you freakin kidding me? Time for RA to be put out to pasture, should have been done 15 years ago...Question remains, though...Is it too late for us?
