NATCHITOCHES — UL head baseball coach Tony Robichaux wants his team to step up its offensive attack.
The team his Ragin’ Cajuns are playing tonight in their opening road game of the season probably feels the same way.
The Cajuns, who took two of three over the weekend in a season-opening home series against Southwest Texas even though collecting only 18 total hits, will travel to face a Northwestern State team desperate for a victory.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Brown-Stroud Field on the NSU campus as the Cajuns (2-1) open a big early-season week. Following tonight’s game, UL will play in the Astros College Classic in Houston Friday through Sunday against Alabama, Texas A&M and Baylor.
Tonight’s contest will air locally over KPEL-AM (1420) beginning at 6 p.m.
