JONESBORO, ARK. — After the Ragin' Cajuns held Arkansas State to 168 yards in total offense in their 23-7 win over the Red Wolves on Tuesday night – well below ASU's Sun Belt Conference-leading 481.3-yard average going into the game – UL coach ...

The defense has made huge steps the last two games. I am not sure if the players are stepping up or if the coaches are finally letting the players play, but either way it is fun to watch this defense.

I was impressed on the amount of pressure on the quarterback rushing just three. Being able to drop 8 and still put pressure onwas amazing.

That was the best defensive performance of any Cajun team I've ever seen. ASU doesn't exactly have a hapless offense either - putting up ~400 yards of offense on Mizzou and Auburn is impressive. I still can't stop thinking about how well they played. It still makes me smile

I think this defense is getting used to the new coordinator.

Or the coordinator is playing to our strengths now Seriously I think it is a combination of both. I think the main difference in the last two games is our ability to put pressure on the quarterback. I know they are doing somethings differently and I do not care what they are just keep doing them and just win baby!

The defense was certainly outstanding. The offense had a lot to do with it by limiting ASU's yardage total and keeping the ball for what seemed like the entire 2nd half. You could also say the offense gave up the 7 points because of the turnover with a short field. Can't be happier with the past 2 games, how the Cajun players and coaches really stepped it up, playing with intensity, on the road, with a crazy Tuesday schedule.

The offense made sure the defense played fresh.
