UL Baseball Where is Jordan Poirrier ?

I was just noticing that Jordan Poirrier is not on the baseball roster and he signed with us. I do not remember him on the Fall roster and do not see him now. Do you Know?

Apparently, Jordan was a fairly late signee and did not qualify for guaranteed admission. Then he did not fall within the 3% of enrollees that are allowed for admission by committee.
Therefore, he will enroll in the Spring and compete for a middle infield spot with 2 years of eligibility.

  4. UL Baseball Cajun baseball hauls in top class

Normally, UL's baseball team gets attention for its success on the diamond.
Now the Ragin' Cajuns are receiving praise for their recruiting legwork.

UL's incoming recruiting class is ranked one of the nation's top 50, according to recently published rankings in Baseball America magazine.

The Cajuns were among the "Best of the Rest" - a region-by-region list of top classes not in the nation's top 25.

With 12 signees, UL grabbed the top spot in the Lower Midwest Region, ahead of TCU, Mississippi State, Texas Tech and Houston.

"Honestly, the biggest reason they're ranked so high is that we respect star power," said Aaron Fitt, the lead college writer for Baseball America. "I think they have a future star in catcher Thad Griffen. He has an above-average arm and a thunderous bat. He's the centerpiece of their signing class."

    It's easy to see why.
