Louisiana true freshman running back Elijah McGuire, a former Vandebilt Catholic standout, had 10 carries for 110 yards with 11 yards per carry in the Ragin Cajuns' 23-7 win over Sun Belt Conference opponent Arkansas State on Tuesday.
It was the second 100-yard rushing game of the season for McGuire, who had the team's longest run of the season — a 70-yarder — in the second quarter. McGuire's big run set up Louisiana's second touchdown of the game.
McGuire is the Cajuns' second leading rusher with 425 yards, 51 carries and four TDs this season.
