Jonesboro, AR - With first place in the Sun Belt Conference on the line, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns and the Arkansas State Red Wolves will duke it out on Tuesday night at Liberty Bank Stadium. Since opening the season with a ...
Ok, I will go there... The Independent uses an article from the AP, which calls us UL-Lafayette and Louisiana-Lafayette. Fox News.com, a national site, posts a great article about the game and uses Louisiana throughout the article. The Independent can't write their own paragraph blurb about the game. They are a hometown periodical, right!
I say it is so simple---If they don't use Louisiana or UL ---don't buy advertising!!! If you know that they (A company) is forcing them to use the other designation, don't buy the company's product!!!
The Ind. article is just a copy/paste of AP article. FWIW I'm almost certain they normally use Louisiana and they do a decent job covering the Cajuns, especially considering the fact they aren't a sports mag. But yeah, it's a mess up and hopefully someone lets them know.
Looks like the Indy used an AP story.. Walter Pierce obviously chose not to proof it.. FOX news uses a story written by Sports Network, who obviously got the memo. We are Louisiana.
Independant, get your ____ together.

What is the latest on Dan McDonald ???? Is he still using UL L...... when doing his stories there??
Not positive about the Independents use of Louisiana, but I know that Face magazine is rediculous. I was killing time during lunch about a month ago and was flipping through the pages and got excited when I saw an article about the Cajuns. After seeing "ULL" 5 times in the first paragraph, I had to put it down. Pathetic!
Down with The Independent!
The Lafayette so-called "Independent" has become little more than a gossip rag in recent years. The only thing useful is their food and drink articles.
Gossip or not. They make more of an attempt at investigative journalism than the Advertiser does. When is the last time the Adverstiser has broken a story?
