I just called the Marriott on Canal where the team stays, and they told me that the "New Orleans Bowl" block doesn't open until 11/20/2013.

Anyone else have this issue?

I had it at the Wyndham Garden Plaza, when trying to book online. I just booked at my regular rate.

That's what their website said when I tried to book with the NOB rate.

There is no new rule... The new rule is take who you want and stuff as much money in your pockets as you can

I thought there was some sort of rule or agreement between the NO Bowl and Go Daddy. For example if USA or Troy gets bowl eligible the NO Bowl would take someone else since Go Daddy would be their local bowl. Am I making that up?

original rate at astor was like 170 a night
called and asked for bowl rate and got it for 89 a night

just call and ask i guess

did a pre-pay at the Hyatt (on Orbitz) for $112. Can still cancel & refund by 12/15

I called and booked my three rooms.

Lady told me that when the NOB rates are available to call back and they would change my rate.

Not sure how that is going to work out though.
