People told me I was crazy for saying we had a shot at a BCS bowl. If we had beaten Arkansas and Kansas State we'd be knocking on the door.

    Do we have a shot?

No. I think our only chance was to go undefeated.

I think our one vote in the Coaches Poll is the main reason why we're currently ranked so high in the BCS poll. But if we had gone undefeated we'd have many, many more votes.

That 1 vote in the coaches poll appears to be bumping us up substantially. A solid win on Tuesday and national TV might add a few more vote. Winning out could get us in top 25 of BCS (maybe even AP after a bowl win)

I think most agreed that if we went undefeated we would've had a shot at a BCS bowl. But if we went 1-1 in those two games and won out, we definitely wouldn't have made it.

Right now the computer rankings have us at 62. With the weak SOS remaining I wouldn't expect that number to climb much higher. So since we'll have the computer rankings pulling us down we'll have to be ranked pretty high in the human polls to crack the BCS Top 25.

Probably not, but if UL runs that table the next four games we may indeed have a shot at a higher profile bowl. How about that?

New Orleans Bowl was a whole lot of fun, convenient, a lot to do, exciting, and this year they take the conference Champ! No slap on the New Orleans Bowl, but is there an out to a bigger bowl if we should win the Conference? Something in Texas or somewhat near by would be awesome! Or New Orleans with a bigger closer team to put MORE fans and LARGER guarantee!

You need to finish in the top 16 to have a shot at the BCS Bowl...

They no longer have to take the champ.

NIU or Fresno will most probably have a good shot if they finish undefeated.
