I also doubt that we are the largest "Catholic" public school in the country. I'm sure there are some schools now in primarily hispanic areas that would top us.

Whatever, playing Notre Dame might be fine if we could get them, alientating the non-catholic student population by billing it as being about religion is a stupid idea.

I wouldn't be for promoting it as that but if selling it as that to notre dame administration to make it happen, I'm good with that.

I'll only make this comment. One of the biggest problems we have in this country is that too many people buy into pollitical correctness and are scared to bring up religion in any public discussion. I say if it takes a religious angle to get Notre Dame to the Dome, by all means bring it on. I don't care if the Baptists, Methodists and Mormons want to use that angle to round up Baylor, SMU, BYU, TCU, etc. to play the Cajuns. Just get the job done!!!!

You'll just stick it up on the shelf next to Rosetta Stone's "Interpreting Women's Silent Mood Communication Expectations of Men... to do the thing they want but not ask questions and then later be all romantic and then know when to back off and then talk to them about the things they want to communicate about without you acting like you know too much and that you can solve these problems that are problems they see without a solution that they just want to talk about but not hear your simple way to nip all that BS in the bud" version of Rosetta Stone.

What about playing the Mississippi universities on a sort of home (nola) and away basis? Could call it the Bayou Bowl on even years, the Magnolia bowl on the odd years. Not counting our game with Mississippi next year, a 4 year rotation might look like this:

Year 1 UL vs USM (NOLA-home)
UL vs Ole Miss Away game
Year 2 UL vs Ole Miss NOLA Home game
    UL vs Mississippi State Away
Year 3 UL vs MSU NOLA HOme
    UL vs USM Away
Year 4 UL Vs USM Nola
    UL vs Mississippi State Away
and so forth...bound to bring some big crowds....
