I was in Bowling Green a few months back for a few days with an interview. When I checked in to the hotel, come to find out that the 3 new Corvettes in the parking lot were prototype 2015 models headed to the Corvette factory outside of BG...I would guess the 2014's are on the assembly line now. I didn't have time to go, but if its anything like the BMW plant in South Carolina, take a plant tour and see the museum, its an afternoon well spent. Even sweeter if they have a test track there to take one out for a 130 mph spin.

Several years ago, Chase Bank through out Lafayette was told to do a "school to the east" promotion. I knew the manager at the Southpark branch. She told me that there were so many complaints that they went to UL and picked up a pile of the "Geaux Cajuns" signs and put them up at every drive through and the lobby. That just shows what can be done when people are motivated.

Here's the Bank One Press Release....BATON ROUGE Capital One Bank, the Official Bank and Credit Card of LSU Athletics, is giving Tiger fans the opportunity to "Live Gold" when LSU hosts Florida in a Southeastern Conference game Oct. 12 at Tiger Stadium.

Capital One Bank has launched its "Live Gold" campaign. "Live Gold" towels will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at Capital One Bank branches across Louisiana.

In addition, "Live Gold" towels will be distributed in Tiger Stadium for fans attending the Florida-LSU game on Saturday.

The fans will be able to wave the towels as a show of support for the Tigers.

In addition, people who visit a Capital One Bank branch in Louisiana and speak to a Capital One banker in the branch before LSU's "Homecoming Game" against Furman on Oct. 26 in Tiger Stadium will receive a "Live Gold" t-shirt, as long as supplies last. The giveaway is limited to one T-shirt per customer.

"Through our 'Live Gold' campaign, Capital One Bank gets to give back to one of the most exciting fan bases and athletic programs in the country," said Rob Stuart, Capital One Bank Louisiana State President. "As the sponsor of this season's LSU-Florida game, we're excited to do our part to color the stadium gold."

Title of thread should be changed to "Why don't banks that support UL think like this?"
I'm no LSU or Cap One bank fan, but you have to hand it to them, its a great marketing idea for Cap.One Bank. I'm willing to bet that there are other Cap One Regional Bank bases in the country that are doing the same thing with other universities. I can't believe someone thought it was a "local" bank. What's in your wallet?

Exactly. Cap One made a great LSU debit card with the team in a huddle before the game. Cap One also could not do the Saints logo, but the created a veru nice fluer dis les debit card in black and gold.I have that one. Give me a bank to do that with the Cajuns on it and I will move my money. Again, it's all marketing and we have very little of it.

I would give Frank Malambri a call or e-mail at www.espn1420.com ask him if he can send you a list of the radio booster club. I'm sure he would be glad to send it to you after you explain to him that you want to support the sponsors. I think you will find Service Chev. and Acadiana Dodge along with a few other auto dealerships that I can't remember. I wish they would put the list up on their web site (they may have but I have not been able to find it).

What about that all LSU dental group that is always on TV? If u don't want to go with a local bank, try Chase. I'm not aware of them taking any sides.

I have no problem with the Cap One promotion. However, it should be limited to the greater B.R. area and not in OUR back yard!
